A landmark in English literature, this first edition of Lyrical Ballads represents the beginning of the Romantic movement. Published anonymously in 1798, it contains Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and Wordsworth's "Tintern Abbey" among other revolutionary poems.
This copy is exceptionally well-preserved, with original boards and uncut pages. It includes the famous Advertisement that served as a manifesto for the new poetry.
